Good things come to those who wait, and with a slow seasoning process, we ensure all boards are compatible with underfloor heating. If your project requires wide boards, we can help you there too, offering extra wide hardwood flooring up to a generous 350mm and lengths of up to 4.3m.

Established in 1979, Coppice & Crown is a family-run flooring business based in beautiful North Devon. We specialise in authentic British wood flooring for all interiors, taking it from tree to floorboard right here in our workshop. Whether designing your family home, restoring a historic house or creating a stylish workspace, we’ll work closely with you to design and craft your dream wood flooring from English-grown Oak .
How do I lay the boards?
We suggest face fixing the boards (due to their wide width) using a special screw we can tell you all about. It’s a small screw with a nail-like appearance. There are other methods of laying that we can discuss further.
Is it suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes, you can lay all our hardwood flooring in kitchens & bathrooms, but we recommend applying an extra layer of your chosen finish. Just clear up any water spills, as with any flooring.
Can I use this wood flooring with underfloor heating?
Yes. Approximately 75% of our customers fit our flooring over underfloor heating systems, and it’s one of our specialities. We favour this method of constant low-level heating rather than a concentrated radiator intensely heating only one area of the room.
